Want to see vast, diverse and beautiful landscapes? Be closer to nature? Visit beautiful cultural architecture? Or just relax on the beach? Brazil is where to go! Check out those 6 Best Brazil Vacation Destinations (in no particular order):

#1.Rio de Janeiro:

Inevitable. It’s the second largest city in Brazil and the most visited city in the southern hemisphere. In February you can assist to the carnival celebrations, and all year long you can enjoy its beautiful beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema Beach, its famous mountain Corcovado and of course the “Christ the Redeemer” statue.

#2. Manaus:

Crossroads. In the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, Manaus is really attractive as it enables tourist to explore wildlife on land and in the rivers (the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimoes that forms the Amazon River). It is also famous for one of the National Historic Heritage of Brazil: the Amazon Theatre. Its beautiful architecture and its dome covered by ceramic tiles painted in the colors of the Brazilian national flag, make it unique.

#3. Pantanal:

Wildlife. It’s one the world’s largest wetlands and one of Brazil’s major tourist attractions thanks to its abundance and diversity of its fauna and flora. By visiting this region, you will be able to see jaguars, anacondas, iguanas, black howler monkeys and many more… It’s a must see for the lover of nature and wildlife!

#4. Ouro Preto:

Historical. Translated by “Black Gold” in English, and designated a World Heritage site by UNESCO, it is one of the best architectural treasures of Brazil. Ouro Preto offers a lot of cultural activities such as the visit of splendid churches, museums and mines.

#5. Iguacu Falls:

Spectacular. The second world’s largest falls (after the Southern Africa’s Victoria Falls) can be seen from Foz do Iguacu in Brazil but also from Argentina and Paraguay. In 2011, Iguacu Falls was announced as one of the “New Seven Wonders of Nature” i.e. it’s a must see! It is surrounded by the Iguacu National Park where you can see the region’s beautiful fauna and flora.

#6. Northeast Beaches:

Peaceful. The Northeast of Brazil is a region mostly known for its beautiful beaches such as Maracaipe -beach that is considered a paradise for surfers-, and Porto de Galinhas, considered as the “Best Brazilian Beach” by the readers of Travel & Tourism magazine. It’s the best destination if you want to enjoy the sun and relax on the beach.

Charming. Salvador da Bahia is not only famous for its wonderful beaches but also for its African History and Culture. Indeed, Salvador was the first Brazilian capital and is now full of history from the Portuguese colonial era that can be seen in the Pelourinho (Historic Centre). Salvador da Bahia is the perfect mix between cultural activities and relaxing holidays.
