Exciting News! Brazil Waives Travel Visa during 2016 Summer Olympics

Brazil officials have announced that during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, citizens from the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan will be allowed to enter Brazil without purchasing a visa. The visa waiver program will go into effect June 1st until September 18th, 2016. These citizens can then travel throughout Brazil for up to 90.

“U.S. citizens will save $160 USD in visa fees alone. That does not include the hassle of making an appointment with the Brazilian consulate or money spent using a visa handling service,” said Juergen Keller, CEO.

Brazil Tourism Minister, Henrique Eduardo Alves, hopes that the temporary visa waiver program will increase tourism to Brazil during the 2016 Summer Olympics.
