Situated on the Bay of Guajará, enjoy the waterfront views and listen to your expert guides at an information session. Those staying close by can enjoy a stroll and get a sense of the area. As night falls, board a boat for an evening tour. Or opt for a night-time wander through the Belem Orla where locals can be found jiving to live music or folk dancing in the street.

Sample some local cuisine when the sun sets and head to one of the fantastic restaurants at Docks Station. Then relax and retire for the night after your first day in Belém.

There’s also a chance to experience the unique Marajoara culture and cuisine. After lunch, visit the historic village of Joanes, the Jesuit Ruins and Great Joanes Beach, and squeeze in some shopping for local crafts. Rise and shine and get ready for a horseback riding excursion. Enjoy a gentle canter in the region, pausing to take photos in Buffalo and stop for a tasty and filling lunch at Pousada dos Guaras. Afterward, select from a variety of experiences. Visit a ceramics and leather tannery center, local farms and the coastal mangroves. Then, return to your hotel as the stars begin to appear in the night sky and enjoy a show of folk dancing in the hotel restaurant.

Next, take a short visit to the center of Salvaterra. Feast on another delicious lunch at Pousada dos Guaras and take some time to enjoy the rest of this quaint city.
